Florida House Creates Alumni Program, Adds Support Services for Lifelong Recovery

Florida House Creates Alumni Program, Adds Support Services for Lifelong Recovery

Drug and Alcohol Treatment in Florida

Deerfield Beach, FL (PRWEB) May 25, 2011

Florida House, a nationally recognized drug and alcohol treatment facility and sober living community, recently announced the creation of a new Alumni and Aftercare program. The Alumni and Aftercare program provides lifelong support services to individuals who have completed one of its comprehensive drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation programs.

The Alumni and Aftercare program is led by the newly appointed Alumni Coordinator, Tim Roberto, who has been working with Florida House since early 2007. Mr. Roberto studied Ramapo College in New Jersey. “I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to lead Florida House in expanding services for our graduating Alumni,” said Mr. Robert. “Our work in this program demonstrates our commitment to their lifelong recovery.”

To date, literally thousands of individuals have achieved sobriety by completing a treatment program at Florida House. The treatment facility adds an average of 85 individuals to its alumni roster each month. Those individuals, referred to as members of the “Florida House Family,” attend weekly meetings, participate in community events, and serve as role models to newcomers struggling with drug addiction or alcoholism.

“We want to send a clear message to our graduates that the support and guidance they’ve received at Florida House does not end at discharge,” said Robin Abu-Moustafa, Clinical Director. “Our entire team has always been dedicated to providing a continuum of long-term care, support and guidance, but now these efforts are housed in a single department and, under Tim’s leadership, I’m sure we’ll become even more effective in delivering our current and new support services for alumni.”

Medical Director Albert Castellon, MD, notes that the alumni are “a testament to the quality and success our of drug rehabilitation programs.” The new Alumni and Aftercare program recognizes this by inviting alumni back to the Florida House campus to share their experience and assist those who are just beginning their journey to addiction recovery.

Alumni and their families are invited to maintain contact with Florida House staff through participation in meetings and activities, message board discussion forums, and e-mail support. Additional information about the Alumni and Aftercare program can be found on the Florida House website at http://www.floridahouseexperience.com/alumni-and-aftercare or by calling 1-866-421-6242.
