American Football Association Weekly Webcast Channel Goes Live

Binghamton, NY (PRWEB) October 13, 2011

Based on previous implementations of live Semipro Hall of Fame Induction webcasts, the AFA decided to take this to the next level by enabling a live webcast channel to feature weekly broadcasts for both PCs and Smartphones. Weekly broadcast features will consist of member team/league live game broadcasts, past Hall of Fame Inductions, archive AFA Championship video and special announcements.

This week’s webcast will feature the Empire Football League’s Watertown Red & Black @ Syracuse Shock playoff game, October 15th at 7pm EST. On October 22nd at 7pm EST, the Empire Football League’s Championship Game will be webcast live.

As part of our webcast initiative, we also have the ability to promote sponsors during all of the live webcasts. Please contact admin(at)americanfootballassn(dot)com with interest.

Webcast access can be obtained from the AFA’s website at http://www.AmericanFootballAssn.com

As The Lockout Ends, A Nation Is Born…

As The Lockout Ends, A Nation Is Born…

Boston, MA (PRWEB) August 02, 2011

Football Nation, LLC, the owner of such critically-acclaimed football websites as ColdHardFootballFacts.com, FFChamps.com and CollegeFootballGeek.com, has unveiled the much-anticipated launch of its parent website and writers’ platform, FootballNation.com.

“At Football Nation, we are building a powerful community of NFL and college football fans, Fantasy Football players and writers,” said Football Nation, LLC founder Andrew Miller.

The Football Nation writers’ platform went live in late June, 2011. In its initial few weeks of existence, and despite the continuing NFL lockout and minimal marketing/PR efforts, approximately 250 user writers applied and were approved, many with strong writing backgrounds. Writers, articles, and traffic are multiplying daily.

Among the first Football Nation user writers was Ken Crippen, author and executive director of the Professional Football Researchers Association (PFRA), a non-profit educational organization dedicated to pro football history. Crippen allowed Football Nation to be among the first media entities to break the news of Hall of Fame tight end John Mackey’s death on July 6.

“Football Nation has a strong, growing, built-in audience of college and pro football fans who are excited to have their writing, opinions, and voices heard,” said Cold, Hard Football Facts founder Kerry J. Byrne. “This audience includes many established writers who are asking to write for us.”

Football Nation, LLC is the owner of the award-winning website, ColdHardFootballFacts.com, a leading provider of football statistical analysis, featured partner of SI.com and broadcaster of the weekly TV show “The Cold, Hard Football Facts with Comcast SportsNet.”

Football Nation also owns FFChamps.com, a long-standing, top-ranked provider of proprietary fantasy football strategy, advice, tools, and games; CollegeFootballGeek.com, providing rankings and strategy to the fast-growing audience playing college fantasy football and FFSlots.com, Football Nation’s patent pending, fast-paced mobile fantasy football game.

“In a world where many on-line and off-line sports publications and media are broad-based, covering all sports — and sometimes even politics and news — Football Nation’s focus and commitment to serve football fans worldwide is unmatched,” Miller said.

About Football Nation, LLC
